Lost Tip #5 Don't Panic

If you're out hiking and you suddenly find out you are lost, DON'T PANIC! I know it sounds cliche but it is true.If you realize you are lost don't run,start walking fast. The best thing to do Is stop sit down if you can, and breath. Deep breaths can help you calm down. Then look around.
Once you are calm If you haven't already found out where you are look for a high point to go to look for those large "landmarks".Then you can reorient yourself and find your way again.
Don't think its not easy to get turned around or lost. I've been turned around so many times. And in country I know like the back of my hand.
